What should I replace my speaker setup with?

I have Infinity Primus P162s, and I want something else for my HK3490 since I have a lot of money right now. Is there anything new (i.e., not used), that would cost $240 or less and give me bass nearly identical to a Z5500? I'm saving up money for other things, so I don't want to spend more than $240.

Should I get a subwoofer and just stay with the same speakers? If so, which one should I get? If not, which speakers should I get? I want 8 ohms, even though I'm sure 6 ohms could be handled easily. I doubt there are even good 6 ohms speakers in my budget anyway.

The P162s are pretty good other than the fact they don't come anywhere close to a Z5500's subwoofer.

The 162s are fine speakers. I think adding a sub will be a big improvement to the overall sound. Look at the BIC F12 or the Energy S10.3 The F12 should be $200ish. The S10.3 on the other hand may be over. Sometimes newegg has it on sale for $200-250 but right now its $500. Amazon has it for $271.

Edit: Nutbucket beat me to it. Takes me forever to type on this thing. :/

BTW, if you have a lot of money why the $240 limit?
Because I don't want to spend a whole lot of audio. I got the HK3490 on sale. It's great, but not worth it's normal price of $449.

The Primus 162 retail for $318 a pair
I got them more than a year ago. They were also only $90 each, so they must have really gone up in price.

This a PC setup or a HT setup?
Small room and the HK3490 is hooked up to my PC via optical. I listen much more to music (lossless files and console files like vgm, spc, ssf, and adx) than movies. I'll look at the Behringers you mentioned. The MS20s that I used to use had decent bass for 20W and the 3490 will make passive speakers give great bass, I'm sure.

"Larger speakers" are just speakers with subs built in.
Basically yes but it just sounds more cohesive to me. Obviously personal preference.

I really regret getting rid of a pair of Pioneer CS-77a speakers my dad had. I was younger and too naive at the time to realize the mistake I was making.
