I finished Fallout 3. Really enjoyed it. I started playing it again, but I'm a bit burnt out. Need something different.

Games I could play:
Penumbra: Black Plague (started playing it a while ago, wasn't feeling it)
Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
Icewind Dale
Icewind Dale 2
Baldur's Gate 2 (played it a bunch, but never finished it)
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (would buy from Steam)
Far Cry 2 (probably get this for Christmas)
GTA4 (go buy it from Best Buy)

Dead Space? I'll have to look that one up. I haven't heard of it.

COD4 - been there, done that.

I have COD5 and Dead Space installed but haven't played it yet. I'm playing GTA 4 at the moment.

Fart Cry 2? I think you need look else where. I had it installed and deleted within 2 days. Crappy game.

How about Mass Effect? Did you play that?

I really liked Prince of Persia, but I never played that type of game before.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is a great game with a lot of replayability.

FC2 is fun if you're willing to stick with it. The first half gets annoying quickly.

I just started the new Prince of Persia. It's pretty fun, if you like 3d platformers, and are willing to play with a controller instead of KB/M - it's hard to make it flow with a keyboard.

I have one PoP game for my GameCube that was okay. Probably not the biggest fan of those games.

Mass Effect - Played. Good game, but I was pretty underwhelmed by it.

I'm going to give Far Cry 2 a shot. It will be a Christmas present, most likely. So I won't be giving it a shot today. :D

I'm not sure about Dead Space. I'm not that big on "jump out of the dark and say boo!" games.

I've been having an awesome time playing GTA 4. I know there is all this bad news about the PC version but honestly it works fine for me, except runs a little worse than I'd like (I'm unable to play at 1680x1050 with the rig in my sig).

It's not that common for me these days to put in 4 hour straight games, but with GTA 4 I know I've done at least a couple of them in the past couple of weeks. :)

Alright, I'm installing BG2.

Aren't there widescreen and resolution mods for it now?

why dont you play something new instead of those 90s games? lol. Im playing FC2 right now and its ok. They just released a new patch that added Widescreen support and fixed other issues, so its actually much better now.

I would suggest Dead Space, COD 4/5. It seems you like RPGs, have you tried the Witcher? Stalker/Clear Sky...

Baldur's Gate II was released in 2000.

But your implication is that because they are older, they're not good? Seriously, new games aren't that good. By your own admission, FC2 is only okay, while BG2 is hailed as one of the best RPG's ever. They may have better graphics, but that's about it.

Dead Space doesn't interest me (at the moment). Cod4 was okay. Didn't know, or care, that 5 was released (I'm guessing it's back to WWII, right?). The Witcher doesn't appeal much to me (click, click, click...).

I've played Stalker/Clear Sky, Fallout 1/2/3, Mass Effect, Thief 1/2/3, GTA3/VC/SA, Far Cry, Crysis, Bioshock, Half-Life (and all HL related games), NWN 1/2 (and expansions), Daggerfall/Morrowind/Oblivion (and expansions), Max Payne 1/2, Jade Empire, Deus Ex, Hitman 1/3, KOTOR 1/2, etc.

I will play FC2, but as stated, I'm expecting it as a Christmas Present. I will play GTA4, but I'll wait until I'm done with FC2.

So, as you can see, the games stated in the OP are the only ones available to me that I'm really interested in (not that I mind people recommending other games).

I recommend:

Medieval II: Total War + Kingdoms expansion pack + Stainless Steel modification (the best game with mixed real-time combat and turn-based strategy and quite a must-have for PC gaming in general)

Warhammer 40,000: Soulstorm + Bugfix Mod + Dawn of Skirmish A.I modification (in my opinion the very best 3D RTS ever, even better than Company of Heroes, but that's because I prefer fantasy over WWII-related subjects)

Diablo II: Lord of Destruction (probably the only "old" game which is still being played by thousands on-line with StarCraft)

StarCraft: Brood Wars (campaign is fun, on-line is full of elitists, avoid at all costs if you don't want to try a 10 minutes "tournament")

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun + Firestorm expansion (a.k.a C&C 2, I.E the best of all C&C titles)

Command & Conqyer 3: Tiberium Wars + Kane's Wrath expansion pack (decent on-line community and actually good campaign, especially Kane's Wrath's campaign being the best in my opinion)

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 (actually best of all three Red Alerts, in my opinion)

Hope it helps.

Blasphemy!

Hehe :)

Well yes, I do prefer RA3 over all other Red Alerts, but the very best C&C title is Tiberian Sun and I will never change my mind about that even if Westwood Studios would re-assemble as a company again and actually re-make it in 3D, nope, it was a golden title, a classic, and classics never die, at least not in my book.

But for now I'm still trying to beat the Empire's campaign in RA3 (Soviet's was a damn blast).

If you enjoy FPS then I suggest considering the Unreal Anthology. It gives you the original Unreal (one of the greatest single player adventure FPS games of all time), the original Unreal Tournament, and most importantly, UT 2004 which people still play online to this day.

For some reason I never got into the RTS games.

Diablo II, played it. Got pretty close to the end and just got so fucking tired of it. You definitely need to start a left click exercise regime before playing that game.

I also never got into the Unreal games. Most online deathmatch games bore me after a few hours. But I must say, I was a CS addict for a short while.
