I've only ever been to one, but the sandwiches are always made on the spot (of course I never order a sandwich the way it's listed on the menu).

not true all of their hot panani sandwiches are premade and reheated in the press, i still think they are tasty

I like their soups, and some of the salads - the salad with fruit and poppy something dressing this summer was awesome. I find their sandwiches merely okay, but because they have too much bread. I know, I know, it's a bread place. And, it's too expensive.

I eat there once a week or so with a marketing group to talk out ideas. I wouldn't go there by myself on purpose, but I don't hate it.

Get some coffee. Their coffee is good from what I recall. Their food is all ... meh ...

Yes.

But choose Caesar salad if they don't have chicken noodle or potato soup.

water and chips and then go buy yourself some real food

Have you eaten the Italian combo?

Don't remember what I had to be honest. I'm trying to suppress that memory.

Wait a minute, I think I've located the problem:
I had some panera while I was in NJ

I'm unimpressed with Panara (even in STL where it originated and is called Saint Louis Bread Company). I've eaten at about 15 different stores and dont think it's worth the money. It's a lot better than other sub shops but I can get better tasting food elsewhere for 1/2 the price.

The old people hang out at Wendy's here.

I was kidding, I was just ragging on NJ because... well, it's NJ :p
It usually ends up costing me about a buck more than Subway/Blimpie, and I'm not blessed to be in one of these cities where people can always find food that tastes better than major chains for half the price.

I'm late to the party, but to answer the OP, you are to order nothing. Go to the bathroom and drown yourself in the toilet. It's obvious you're incapable of making a decision for yourself. Enjoy! :)

Bah, I eat there once and I'll be 5lbs heavier by week's end. Sucks with my slow metab. (I also run 16 miles a week and walk at least twice that)

I love bread, though I just can't seem to burn it off.

Though when I feel like being a pig, the turky brovo + broc and chedder soup with a bagit.
