For clarity, Loke is the god of mischief, which I think would be kind of suitable for a dog. Ares is the god of war, which just means he's uber cool.

name him after his/her culture or something you think is interesting...

ex. I bought a dachshund (german dog) so i named him after german emporer Otto the Great because i thought it would be cool to name him after his heritage and i like history and otto the great is an intersting fellow. If i were to get a girl german dog, i would name her Sara because in german it means Princess and that is a cool name (see ebaums world for princess animations 😛 )

anywho...there are plenty of creative ideas out there 😛
