I have a tow strap, a flashlight and some basic tools (sockets/wrenches)..I have to find my jumper cables and toss them in there, along with a first aid kit. I'd like to get a fire extinguisher..can you think of anything else I might want to find?

a small tarp in case you have to change the tire or some other work in the rain, or to lay out on the ground. a small plank of wood to give the jack an even base when needed.

It's not a Ford.. 😛

I used to carry a small bottle of that non-gas rescue fuel until I gave it to a friend. If you are prone to letting youreself run low on gas, or take a lot of road trips, they can be a lifesaver.

The cans of gourmet food heaters.

About $0.99, but can save your ass when you're stuck in a car unable to move.

Last usually 4 hours. Good to buy a few and a few cans of food

good call. if you break down in cold weather, the small amount of heat put off by one can keep you alive.

You should pick up one of those emergency jump-start battery packs with a compressor in it. They're super handy to have - I get more use out of the compressor than anything else.

Check at Meijer if you have one near you - they're generally pretty affordable.

nice truck, is it brand new?

I've been looking for a toyota truck but they go for so much damn money.

Seriously I keep a beater in the car just in case someone gets out of hand, no firearms though as I would want to shoot way too many people.

I keep a 9mm in my Jeep ... I prefer to be a gun owner ... than a victim ...

btw, I have a proper ConcealedWeapons Permit.

I have a permit as well..just not enough extra cash for a handgun yet 🙂

It's a 1998 with over 170k on it..heh -- great shape, though..just a dent on the drivers' side fender. Only paid 5k, so I'm not complaining 🙂
