I got a case of Pilsner last night. It's pretty good beer. Besides that I would go with any dark beer.

For you, anything outside of moonshine or Jack Daniels would be downright unpatriotic

Go with Pearl vodka. IMO it is better thatn Grey Goose, at approx. %60 of the cost. Highly recommended.

All I drink anymore is vodka and club soda. It is a very clean, predictable drunk that leaves an absolute minimum of a hangover. (Completely unklike Jager. I have 9 stitches in my face because of Jager.) Think about it: your body needs water to metabolize alcohol. Why use a sugary mixer (which will only dehydrate you further, and increase the hangover factor) to mask the taste of a poorly-refined spirit (which will also cause hangover)? IF you HAVE to be on the cheap, run the vodka through a Britta filter a dozen times and you have something completely flavorless and as smooth as water.

Edit: you -> your

Grand Marnier

I've been liking "K", it's a cider beer in an all black bottle. It's actually ruined me on beer as I can't drink beer now without thinking it's too bland. My g/f raves about this beer called "Paulsner" IIRC, and no, it's not "Pilsner".

As for you mentioning Miller Lite, gah! That right there says a lot about you. I get massive hangovers if I drink ANYTHING domestic, but if I drink any brand of import I feel great the next day, no matter how much I drink. I have no clue why that is.

Are you including domestic microbrews? Most domestic macrobrews are brewed with adjuncts like corn or rice, it's a different sort of sugar being fermented (not maltose) but most imports and domestic micros are brewed similarly enough with respect to using grain for the sugar.

Have you had gin before? This is less medicine tasting than most gin, doesn't taste like you just performed oral on a pine tree knob.

He won't like the price tag of Bombay Saphire if he thinks Everclear is expensive.....
If you're tryin to drink on the cheap, Seagrams Dry Rum costs about $20 or less for a giant 1.75L bottle. Bombay Saphire is usually around $50 for a giant bottle.

everclear is expensive in terms of: it tastes like ass expensive.

a giant bottle for 50, makes me assume that a fifth of Bombay Sapphire is going to be about $30?? so $10 more than jaeger...

and no, ive never had Gin before.
