What should I do with my racing stripes? (with poll!)

Here are some pics of my car in its current state. Yes, I'm aware you can see the glue/residue from the removed stripes. It's not done yet.

So what should I do? See the poll.

Pros for stripes (whether silver or black):
- Hides a golf-ball sized dent on the hood
- Won't have to worry about buffing/conditioning the paint

Cons for the stripes:
- Will ruin the paint eventually (uneven fading)
- Attract too much attention

just take a window marker and write some random # on the corner of the windshield(make sure to include a decimal in there) and call it a day. =)

id probably replace with black stripes, i think it would look good. otherwise, remove the red and keep the silver. it kind of fits the car.

Yeah, take em off. Break cleaner will usually take off the goo without damaging the paint. I use it to remove residue left from bumper stickers at work. Just test it I'm a non visible area first.

I don't like the red border. Looks messy and clashes with the green paint.

The other thing is those stripes are only on the hood. That's not how you do racing stripes. They go all the way to the ground, both front and rear. What was the PO thinking when he put on "hood stripes"?? If they end before the bumper they should end with a bevel on the hood, not just stop at the edge of the hood.

Get rid of them and replace them with properly done stripes, maybe in a darker silver color.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of stripes, and with them only on the hood, with the color clash, I'd remove them myself.
