What should I do? Edit Called

So last july I got final attendance warnings from work, if I was late/absent again I get fired. Since than i have had perfect attendance (obviously 🙂 ) as well as put myself into a position to get promoted. Tonight I left at 8:00pm and talked to my boss till 8:20 than went and caught my bus. Me and my boss talked about when we had both worked contrsutcion together ect, and how good it was to hae solid jobs and not have to be out there in this weather ect. Anyway, I get home and am looking at my schedule for next week...and I notice today I was suppose to work till 8:30.

So I had left early, which is an attendance infraction. It was a complete and honest mistake, I had no problem working the last 30 mins and no reason to leave.

I am not in again till Friday, should I call my boss tonight?, or wait till Friday when he asks me about it and act totally suprised since I did not mean too.

UPDATE

Called my boss back, talked to him, he said if I bring in a doctors note it will be ok and we will keep it between him and I, and he will mark down as I left sick. So I will be ok 🙂

Thanks for the advice guys, he said it was good I called before someone else picked up on it. 🙂

if your getting attendance warnings you were bound to screw yourself over at some point...better sooner than later before you do it at a time that really effects the company.
live and learn...take your firing like a man

That was last July. 5 months with perfect attendance is pretty good in my opinion.

true...but from the kids i've managed in the past (and ended up firing) once they get their "warning" they clean up their act for a few months and then their right back to their old ways again.

Just in case, check the Sunday paper want adds. A job that picks too much about relatively little things, is one that is going to let you go eventually. They are building a case for dismissal. 🙁

Be proactive and start looking for another job. That way if the inevitable happens it wont be so troubling, in fact you can probably laugh and think, "this would have hurt worse if I wasnt already prepared".

K, Im going to call and see what happens 🙁

this would really suck, I actually like thos job, and I hate job hunting 🙁

Wish me luck
