What should I do about my neighbor?

Here's the situation. I live in on a residential single family home street. I dont know if I should do anything regarding our next door neighbor. It seems as though they think the residental street (where kids often play) is a racetrack. Keep in mind that these are adults, yet very unprofessional and very immature. Everyday, they burn rubber going up and down our street to and from whereever they are going. They have a couple cars which they put some aftermarket parts on (exhaust) etc and now they think they can drive recklessely around the neighborhood. This has been going on for sometime now, but this morning it really hit a nerve. I was walking out to my car and next thing I hear is loud reving of an engine and then a car peeling out which was followed by a car going up our residential street fast as hell.

Am I just being a stickler or should I do something or call the police? They have no consideration for others or for the neighborhood.

It would be one thing if it was some teenager who didnt know better, maybe their parents could talk some sense into them. But these are full gorwn adults. One guy who does cable, one stay at home mom, and one brother who works for a towing company.

Thats funny, they're pretty much the trash of the neighborhood. But I could care less that they hang a huge nascar flag outside of their house (which they do.) I don't care what they do for a living or anything about their lives personally, but this reckless driving up and down our street has got to stop.

EDIT: I just realized you were referring to that funny story posted here a while ago.......that was good.

Who, the neighbors? Apparently they must be deaf. It doesnt matter if it's 7am in the morning or if it's 2am at night. They literally burn rubber going up and down our little street with excessive speed.

I had the wrong impression of them anyway. I didn't picture them as being Nascar people. The cops in my city will set up speed traps if they get enough complaints from the public about speeding.

In that case, I suggest you learn ASL and then go talk to them.
 
Definitely call the cops and report that they are speeding, driving reckless, using excessive speed, and doing all this in a residential street with kids out playing all the time. Then setup a webcam or something with motion detection and let it run. Once you get some footage of them on tape, take it to the police station and show it to them.
 
We have a similar issue, no burn outs or anything, just people speeding on our street. And one arsehole with a super loud sport bike, who cranks it when he drives by people walking, so it makes a loud farty noise....not to mention he's about 45 so it's even more retarded that he acts this way...

Anyhow, I called the sheriff's department, and they sent out a car to sit at different places on our street for a while. It helped when I mentioned 'school zones' and 'kids almost getting hit' (both are true). There are days I just want to sit out there with a camera....(I was going to say rifle, or paintball gun, but I'll just stick with 'camera')
 
Call the cops and complain, if there is a school nearby and children playing I'd definitely bring that up too. Hopefully, the cops can catch these retards in the act. A few reckless driving citations will do wonders for their driving record and insurance rates. :evil:

Imagine how you'd feel if these idiots hit and killed a child and you had done nothing about it?

but in all seriousness, I dunno, I'd probably talk to them if you feel comfortable letting them know it's annoying as hell to hear them with their cars.
 

Do nothing and wait till a kid gets hit ... then you'll know what you should have done.
 
Do they have a nice lawn or anything like that? If so, take some round-up and freeze it in some ice cube trays. Then at night, throw the round-up cubes all over their lawn.

It may not get them to stop what they are doing with their cars, but it sure is fun. 😀
