What should I compare and contrast in my English paper?

compare and contrast F. Scott Fitzgerald's life with the character from one of his books... lots of sources and pretty easy if you choose The Great Gatsby

Well I found a topic myself. I call it "The greater of two evils" and its about those who say people who download mp3's are the bad guys and others who say the record label is the bad guy for charging high prices.

Your thesis doesn't really encompass your topic. It seems like you're discussing those two groups are evil, not the degree to which each is evil in comparison with the other.
