<< Is this money going to "expire" if you don't spend it now? Put the money in a bank account or a stable fund and let the interest build. >>

Bank account? On my savings account (which I only keep ~$300-350 in to be able to cash my checks w/o hassles, or fees), there is a yield of .75% annual (does that even cover inflation?)! I remember the same bank used to have 5-6% annual several years back---what happened?!

Anyways, if saving, a stable fund would definitely be the right thing. You'd actually make some money. ;)

And I'd advise to wait just a little to see how effective ATI's next product is before splurging on a GF3 right now....

Mine still gives me something like 2% a month. Pretty good deal considering the current economy ;)

Lol. =) A saving account should only be use to keep your money liquid. Otherwise, just invest your money into mutual funds, CDs, etc..

Being faster would characterize a better modem, but would a "better" modem improve your speed/service necessarily?

I still have the original LANcity cable modem leased out to me when I first got my cable modem service almost a two years ago. The only complaints I have ever had is with the service I have received on rare occasions, and not the modem.

How about you donate your money to a nice charity if you don't want to save it?
