I got a check for my birthday for $100 dollars. I wasnt expecting this, hence, I dont know what to buy.

I dont want to just save it, and I dont want it to all just sort of dwindle away to nothing.

I was thinking of buying a cell phone (Nokia 6360) off ebay and then activating it with eCallPlus.

Thoughts?

100 tacos for $100 dollars--What a deal!

edit: Cell phone is good idea if you need a replacement. How about something you don't already have?

Yes, it would. They're called DVD-Rs ;) I have yet to run across a player that won't play one of my burned DVD-Rs :)

but there's no reason to burn dvds if you can just ftp the files over, or even just play then accross the network ;)

i say spend about half, on clothes, shoes, cds, movies, whatever you want/need and keep the rest for whatever may come, i like to have something to fall back on, i keep only 20 from every pay check for food/gas/etc, sock away the rest

In that case be sure to save 20.00 to slip the cashier when you tell her you forgot your idea. JK

I am in the same boat as you. Just got my taxes back and after I pay off my bills and save some, I will still have about 100.00 left over, what to do with it is the question.

Yeah for some reason it always seems like I want things when I have no money, then when I get money I can;t decide what I want.
