1. make a donation in his name to the Human Fund
2. gift certificate for a couples massage (presumably to be shared with OP)
3. if #2 is too rich, then a coupon for a free 30min massage (by OP) to be redeemed at a later time

The thing I don't like about cash gifts is that they are not thoughtful. He already has money, and I would rather give cash to somebody who really needs it, since that is actually thinking about the person since the person actually needs money. At least gift cards are more thoughtful since I care for the recipient's specific interests.

True. I think if somebody already has money/everything they need, a fun gift would be appreciated. Think he'd like anything on ThinkGeek? Maybe a one-year subscription to MoviePass? A bottle of whiskey? How about a framed picture of you two as kids?

You could always just print this thread and give it as a gift. That would show him how much thought you put into it. He might even insist you don't get him any more gifts from now on, so that would be a win-win.

I bought my brother some single malt scotch last year.
This year, he asked for Malort, but he stipulated that I must drink a shot with him.
Have never tried it, but, ususally I avoid things which are famous for being horrible.

Buy your brother Malort.

I really need it. Hand it over! And tell him you donated it in his honor. Two birds with one stone!. :p

Sorry to bump an old thread, but if anyone was wondering what I bought him, I bought him a Nike gift card.

Too bad, he might have liked the Malort.

I bought a bottle of Malort for my brother, already drank 1/4 of the bottle. It's not very good.
