so i'm graduating and i'll have a year between that and going to graduate / law school. so... any suggestions for what i should do with my time?

somethings that i was thinking of (not exclusive) were:

- travelling, europe and china / taiwan
- working on various software projects that i've always wanted to do but have never had the time for
- get a job programming or something
- get a job unrelated to my major (CS) and see how far i can move up in a year... was thinking about sales
- road trip across america / canada

Maybe you could intern for a world relief organization, that way you'd get to travel, you'd get to participate in charity work, and you'd get experience. I think that's what I would do.

Some friends of mine went to New Zealand/Australia for a year on some college gradaute program. You can probably hit up China / Taiwan while down there.

yea that's sort of what i was leaning towards. or if i was going to work, i would make sure to have fun and i wouldn't care about whether or not i got fired.

i second world travel. screw u.s. roadtrip. same culture, pretty much, nothing new here. go to Europe/Asia. One day i hope to join a buddhist monastery somewhere in the Himalayas and learn to sleep in freezing tempratures, and live off berries and twigs, and learn how to live to 140. that'd be cool.

Start with what you enjoy most till you feel you need more money, work for a few months, then back to what you want to do
