a) no capitol or 3 capitals equal to each other (not possible under the current Constitution)
b) like it is now.
c) a Constitutional Amendment that states that no place may be a capitol of the U.S. for anymore than 3 (or 4 or 5 if you prefer) out of every 20 years.

Which do you favor and why?

I favor (a). (c) would be second best IMO. The problem is that having the Defense Dept. in the same place forever is that it enriches the area around it too much at the expense of everyone else. In other words, Northern VA and Southern MD are a lot richer than they would be in a free society.

There is no capitol problem unless termites have been discovered and we haven't been told.

Definitely C. There's nothing I like more than having to move every three years for arbitrary reasons.

You are literally obessed with political issues that have been resolved 220 years ago. First it was constant threads praising the merits of the original confederacy, an institution that miserably failed after a decade of existence. Now you wish to revisit the the question of the siting of Washington, DC.

My two cents-send it back to Philadelphia. At the time the biggest city in the country, it's now a backwater. They could use the business. Sell off Washington, DC as a theme park.
