With sandbags maybe. Might as well get an explorer if going that route.

You guys are funny. It's like owning a truck is a mortal sin but having a gas guzzling muscle car is acceptable. Nevermind the fact track racing a car is considered ultra cool but driving a pickup to work isn't.

No one said trucks were not cool.

a nd sandbags arent usually needed in a 4wd. they dont hurt, I put about 120 lbs of sand in my jeep 2 winters ago, but didnt this year and we had way more snow, I had zero issues

I don't think it matters anyways. I'm pretty sure if it doesn't have a badge from a euro car maker it's out of the equation around here.

Yeah, get an R32, slick little cars...wish I could find one for a decent price though...I know there are a few for sale around here in MPLS.

I should have been more clear - I'm looking for something bigger and more utilitarian. That is the main reason I'm thinking of getting rid of the 330i, which is actually a great winter car with snow tires (which I have).

Most people have a need for open bed about 2x a year, which doesn't exactly make a requirement to have a truck. Unless you're a contractor or something similar, having an open bad is pretty useless. I much rather have an SUV, where my stuff is protected from the elements.

The whole point is right tool for the job; for majority of people, truck isn't it.

(would love to have an f150 lightning, despite the shit interior)

I can too, but only on actual snow. :sneaky: 270bhp can only do so much through all 4 tires on dry ground.

Yeah, I can't do it on dry pavement either. :(

I had a truck for about six years. I haven't really needed one since I bought my Forester over a year ago - sure they're nice to have, but I don't use one often enough to justify having one for much other than a toy. To each his own, though.

OK, I have been driving my 330i again the last few days, and I had forgotten just what an awesome car it is. I just love it. Actually in some ways I like the steering feel and handling more than my M3, and it's an amazingly comfy, practical car. It's in nearly perfect condition and has only 41K miles. I would be foolish to get rid of it - it's not going anywhere.

Thought about that myself, you know for monsoon season and all. But the thing is like 2" from the ground and would be no better than the Cobra, so not very useful as a truck.

The Raptor on the other hand... could drive through flooded pothole riddled streets all day long.
