More and more we are seeing homeless families with children. Often times the young cannot tolerate the homeless lifestyle and end up dead in a ditch, or some back alley. Shouldn't something be done to help keep a shelter over these families head and food and clean water in their mouths.

Everyone hug a tree now!

So it's fact-free human interest mad libs now, eh? I can play too.

More and more we are seeing depressed suburban housewives with children. Often times the wives cannot tolerate the suburban lifestyle and end up dead in a ditch, or some back alley. Shouldn't something be done to help keep a stable home environment for these children and good home cooking in their mouths?

I didn't see any pictures of these dead street people that are supposedly everywhere. Also, one of those articles makes it sound like shelters are available but people are choosing to live in tents anyway. You want to force them into shelters?

It's a problem here in Hawaii:

Remember Dan Quayle's famous quote:

You all look like happy campers to me. Happy campers you are, happy campers you have been, and, as far as I am concerned, happy campers you will always be.

This is a non-existent problem. What is a real problem, though, are homeless veterans; some aren't worth much pity, but a lot are.. and need help.

Quite the interesting thread. An obvious troll, who in my opinion is an RBM, makes a post in P&N with no link to an article, just a statement that is easily recognizable as a fabrication. The thread exists for several days and is over 60 posts long. A surprisingly large number of heavy-hitters have participated in the thread, a thread that by the albeit fluid rules of the sub-forum should have been locked.

The OP has not returned to the thread and I must assume that he/she/it is laughing their ass off at what they've created.

The entire thread (like most here) is a joke, but you've just pushed it into the next level of absurd. There are no heavy hitters in P&N. There isn't a single person here who's opinion is valued above any other. While I'm sure there is at least one person here who's opinion I respect, I can't think of who it might be at the moment.

P&N is a collection of windup toys, all you need to do is pull the string.

Why else would children be dying on the streets?

Yep. You could create a thread about how the world is flat. And the morons here would debate it for days and find some conspiracy surrounding it. Scary that these people live among us.

And RBMs are pretty rampant now but it's all about quantity than quality nowadays here.

The term heavy-hitter, when used by myself in this instance is a euphemism. That's about all I'm going to say about that.

We should make it illegal to be homeless, problem solved.

I think it would be better if we paid people to hate America, some have been doing it for free for far too long. They deserve a paycheck for their efforts. We can start giving them out to the winners posting in this thread first.

I prefer cash, money orders, and major credit cards. No personal checks please.

And yet you felt compelled to come here and share your disdain with us.

I skim P&N almost every day. It's like watching Jerry Springer, but with a better class of people to sneer at.

Lets be honest, we both know that most of the threads here are partisan in the extreme, and that most of them are going to degenerate into "your side started it" and foolish name calling. We both come here because every once in a while someone actually comes up with something thought provoking, or (dare I say it) insightful. So yes, I am disdainful, and rightly so. If you feel the need to take me to task over it, I wouldn't mind at all.

I don't disagree with any of that, just tweaking you.
