what setting do you use to rip mp3s?

im re-ripping my music collection to get better quality. also do you use variable bit rate? do different programs (ie itunes, windows media player) rip mp3's to different quality?
 
lame standard VBR

192kbps for phone. 320kbps for PC.
192kbps for phone is such a waste. I'd probably use 128kbps max, if not 64kbps.

But then again, ATOT nerds here would claim they could easily hear the difference between 128kbps and CD on laptop speakers.

Heh, I can't be bothered encoding all my mp3s into 128kbps.
