I've just got a new cd player in the car. I want to make copies of my cd's for the car, so if they get damaged/stolen it's not much of a biggy. I have a color printer, but it's not that great (HP Deskjet, about 4 years old), but I'd like to scan the images so that when I get a decent printer, they will look nice. At the same time, I know depending on the settings you choose, a scan can be like 20-30 megs.
So, I'd like to know whats best for something like this, scan as a jpeg, tiff, bmp, ...... What kind of settings you all choose when scanning you intend to print it ?.

Whats a good Image type to choose, thats not to large a file, but looks good when printed.

Thx for any info
