about 3 years ago when my first love and i were breaking up i posted a message about it and got some really good advice about co-dependency stuff. it really helped.

No, seriously, I've had a lot of help outside of OT. OT is just a festering sh|thole waiting to be flushed. Yes, I know, that's why I'm here. See? I knew you were going to say that. OT teaches people to be assholes.

I don't come to ATOT with personal problems, but I've gotten help several times with code or other computer-related things. Got some help deciding what laptop to buy... I'd say a $1200 purchase is a serious topic. As far as buying houses or cars, no, not yet.

Edit: I guess I should edit this and say that the most help I've gotten from AT hasn't actually been from ATOT but from the other forums.
 
Some hw help and just random questions like whether i can take compressed aerosol cans onto an airplane.

the best part of ATOT is that you get answers in under 5 minutes. I don't know why people don't take advantage more often... or maybe some people just don't want to seem unknowing or uninformed and are too afraid to ask. *shrug*
 
The only thing ATOT has really helped me with, is procrastinating and getting useless questions answered.

You would *never* know it from another hot topic of the moment, but AT (and a couple of particular members therein) helped me a lot when I was really really stressing about trying to turn gay. I was more than a bit suicidal. Needless to say, that changed.
