What schedule did you take in college?

Eg. Mon - Thurs
8-3 PM

That's just an example. I'm looking for the best configuration of classes. I'm not a morning person.

I don't have much of a choice; a lot of my classes only have one section. Other than that, I try to keep mine all bunched together, whether in the morning or at night. I _hate_ having an hour or two break in between classes turning my 4 hour day into a 7 or 8 hour day.

avoid morning classes at all costs

That's pretty much what I am doing.

Is it wrong to pack classes into two days a week?

If you can, go for it.

For me, I prefer getting my classes done in the morning, but partly because that lets me work in the evenings. I also am more motivated to actually go to class in the morning than the afternoon, oddly.

my best semester was having classes on only Tuesday and Thursday from like 10-5 or 6. 4 day weekend every weekend. Plus a day off in the middle. Awesome.

10:30 - 11 AM is a good time for the first class since it gets you up and out... then have a break for lunch.. then schedule the rest of the classes however you wish
if your first class is too late, say 3 PM, you might start getting lazy

It was always afternoons and evenings (ending ~ 8pm) unless I didn't have a choice regarding morning classes.

I had that schedule my last several semesters because that was only when the classes were offered. Last semester was 8am-5pm tuesday and 8-2pm thursdays (taking 12 credits). Have multiple tests/projects due on the same day sucked majorly since never had enough time to prepare for all of it at once.

I worked a full time job from 4PM - 1:30AM. I tried to pack my classes into a 9AM - 3PM window.

I try my best to spread the classes across M-Th 10am-1pm. This lets me work the rest of the afternoon

your poll isn't very good....I took all early afternoon classes, always made sure I had at least one per day to keep me busy

Next semester my classes will be 4:30-7PM M-Th. Ideally I'll get 10PM-2AM shifts at work (graveyard = higher pay, less work) and sleep in till 3. Ohhh yeah.

When I was undergrad, I forced myself to take at least 9am classes....started wtih 8am classes my freshman year because I was used to getting up earlier. I recommend taking morning classes as much as possible because the scheduling just tends to workout easier. You can almost always take the classes you need 8-noon and it gives you the rest of the day to sleep before going out and getting drunk. :p

For my Senior year through Grad school, I've been doing night classes. It's the only time most of the classes are offered. Some are 2:30-4pm, once a week....but those are primarily core classes. I prefer the night classes simply because it's once a week and most profs don't want to be there anymore than you do so you can get out early.

Last semester I only had class tuesday/thursday from 7:30am to 1:30pm. That was okay, but it was a little bit too early for me and I had no lunch break so by the time I got to my last class I was always starving and wanting to leave.

This semester I'm going to try the monday/wednesday/friday from 8am to 12pm. I did that two semesters ago and enjoyed it a little more than my tuesday/thursday only class days.
