I was in 5th grade when I fell right on my head, without wearing a helmet of course. Gave myself two skull fractures and had a contusion (bruise) of the right side of the brain. I ended up in the hospital for about a week.

I have no idea what happened, all I remember is waking up in the hospital. I learned my leason, wear a helmet!

When I was around 15, I was riding my bro's bike, and I didn't know it was screwed up... I took a turn in the street to fast, the gears locked, and I flew headfirst into a concrete curb. I knocked myself out for a few seconds, got up, and didn't remember what happened. Some guy in a car asked me if I was OK, so I said yea, and went home. When I got home I took a shower for some reason(I actually don't remember why), and when I got out, I noticed some blood on my shoulder. I didn't know what it was there, then I remembered I crashed, and realized that I ripped a big gash on the top right side of my hide. My dad took me to the emergency room, and I has to get 12 stiches. The funny thing was I didn't actually feel any pain from the thing until the doctor started cleaning it out with some steel-wool type pad thing... Nothing like someone scratching your skull when you are awake. When I get a short haircut you can see my scar! My elbow also has a nice scar and stich marks from when I was trailing a skateboard on my bike with a rope, and the skateboard got wedged underneath a car tire. The bike stopped but I didn't, go figure.

I was 10 and was riding with my little brother around the block. I started riding really fast to feel the wind in my hair and my brother followed right behind me.
This annoyed me so I turned my head and yelled: "quit following me, Adrian, you're gonna have an accide-"
*SPLAT*
My front tire hit a pebble and I went flying. Still have the scars from that one and my brother couldn't stop laughing.
He got his come-uppance a week or so later when he tried to impress me by zooming over a large pothole. I still remember his "creative wheelie" and how mad he was at me for laughing my head off.

Here ya go. I do a lot of cycling with a road racing bike, I mean like hardcore stuff. basically, I'm one of those geeks that wears the entire gear. One time I was on a busy road and pulled up to red light. I'm rolling up between the cars real slow waiting for the light to change green. I'm hoping I don't need to come to a complete stop, b/c I don't want to have to unclip out of pedals. I get to the first car and theres three slammin babes lookin at me(most likely thinkin, bike geek!). Then the dreaded complete stop happens to me. I can't unclip fast enough, and I topple over like someone just cut down a huge oak in the woods. We're talkin, timmmmbeeerrrrr!!!! There I am, lying practically in the middle of the intersection, with a car full of hotties laughin their asses off. Can you say, "LOSER?"

Reminds me of my cycling days.. God I have had so many falls.

Lets see if I can put then all in:

1. In 4th grade I had a small bmx type bike I was coming home from school around 3 PM and I came fast around the entrance of our driveway and I was pretending to shift gear (no gears on that bike) and next thing I know I hit some sand and flew off to have a nice fall.
2. I was showing off to some women in 5th grade and I wheeled that bmx only to find myself under the bmx, I pulled the handlebars too hard, and I topped on the hard road.
3. I was racing with a friend, and he took the road I took the shortcut, a narrow path, on the end of the narrow path was this slope. I came fast and suddenly noticed there was a ditch before the narrow path I hit the ditch and wheelied off it, my rear wheels hit the slope and I did a complete 360 vertical. I know it was a 360 because quite a few people saw it. and some even complained to my mom saying "your son drives too fast".
4. I was in 2nd grade and I was following piglet(my friend) very closely (tailing him) and all of a sudden I hit his bicycles rear tyre and next thing I know I was on the ground.
5. 8th grade, age 12. I was riding back from my classmates house, I had his english notes in my chest, It was going to rain, so I rode back fast. I was now on my mountain bike and I came on to Bonn Ave it started raining harder, so i raced and hit "delhi ave". I had my head down to reduce resistance and Speeded up. All of a sudden in the middle of the night came this speedbreaker. I had forgotten about it, they had recently put that in. I hit the brakes, front and then back, unfortunalty the front locked and I flew off the bike. I landed 10 meters on the other side of the speed breaker. It was after 9 and no body would have been out there the heavy rain. However I was fortunate. Someone in the distance was walking and saw an object fly in the air (I had a lamp post near by so I was pretty well lit). He came by walking slowly and saw me lying in a pool of blood unconcious. Luckily they knew who I was and brought me home. My parents saw me and rushed me to the hospital (before calling emergency). I had broken my jaw.
6. I was getting out of school I had my 10 speed racing bike. I was done with physics practicals and was running home to grab lunch. As I was starting on the bike the bell had just rung stating "lunch". We are not allowed to ride the bicycles inside the school compound only push it until outside. I didnt want to break that, so I pushed it hard and got on the cycle. As I neared the gate I peddled out. As I was picking up I noticed the security guards hadnt taken their post on the center of the road. He was walking to it. He saw me and put up the stop sign. However the car coming down the road didnt see that, I saw him, hit the brakes and my cable split into two, so I hit my lock (my rear pad lock) forcing it between the spokes. I came to an instant halt only to find myself in the path of the car. I then turned my front wheel towards teh oncoming car and lodged my right leg between the frame and the peddle. Crash. Well.. my front wheel was bent. The car didnt have any damage but he did have to pay a big fine since he was speed in a 30 KMPH zone going about 70 KMPH. End result I got lots of "love" & "Caring" from girls in my school who just had to be nice and warm to me. I was sabotaged by my ex-gf and her bf (who also was my classmate), she apologies to me saying " I am sorry" but I wish It was more.

I have quite a few more, but

pedaling like a sonuvabitch up a slight hill, when the POS 3 speed gear-changer on my bicycle decided it wanted to be in neutral. The chain slipped, and I was on a heavy downstroke. Luckily the frame bar was there to break the fall.......unluckily my nuts were there also.

I'll skip the part about rolling arond on the ground, face purple and moaning.

I actually fell asleep on my bike once. I was on RAGBRI with my dad, and we had been getting up at 530 every morning and I was not getting enough sleep. so there I was a few hours into our ride that day, when I started dozing, like you do at the wheel, when all of the sudden I was rudly awakened by the ditch! my dad kept asking me what happened, I finnally confessed, he was mildly amused, but more pissed I hadn't said anything.

my worst was going over the handle bars at 25mph and kissing the asphault with my face. OUCH! that left a mark for quite a while, but thankfully the scar faded away.

I ran into a tree. Not speeding down a hill, not avoiding small children. I just ran straight into a tree.
