It's all a bunch of bullsh!t, is what it is..

Although, I do have to admit Diet Coke with Splenda is by far the best diet cola I've had, it still tastes like ass.

Coke zero is pretty good, coke with splenda is good but goes flat very fast. Reg diet coke tastes like battery acid. Diet 7up with splenda is good stuff

Coke Zero trumps Diet Coke. Never tried Diet coke with Splenda, but I dont think Splenda is all what people make it up to be. Diet coke zero kind of tastes like reg, coke, but not as sweet... almost like coke 2, but without the sugar.

Maybe the other way around, but I don't think Diet Coke was ever intended to taste like Coke. They actually made it to taste more like Pepsi, because they were losing market share to Pepsi.

Edit:
http://www.snopes.com/cokelore/newcoke.asp

Adding to Coca-Cola's segmentation problems was the runaway success of their own child, Diet Coke. Rather than replacing the sugars in the Coca-Cola formula with artificial sweeteners and then attempting to bring the taste of the new beverage back to more closely resemble the original, the company formulated Diet Coke the other way around. An entirely new flavor was created ? one that was smoother and had less bite to it but was still a cola. People loved it.

It may not be the case that they tried to make it taste more like Pepsi... but I think it tastes closer to Pepsi than to Coke.

Diet Coke is disgusting.

C2 impressed me though. There's a taste difference if you try both and switch back and forth, but otherwise you almost dont notice it. I didnt believe I was drinking C2 the first time I had it..

But as people say. PEPSI RULES.

So anyway, is it just me or is the number of different diet colas a little large?

Diet Coke
Coke Zero
Diet Coke with Splenda
Diet Pepsi
Pepsi One (which was hilarious because they added like one drop of sugar syrup to make it have one calorie for marketing)

could throw c2 in there, also, I'd think.

Then add Pepsi Edge too (which actually isn't bad at all).

Don't forget the flavored! Diet Vanilla, Diet w/lemon, etc etc etc....

I bought a Diet Coke, Coke Zero, and Diet Coke with Splenda.

Diet Coke is horrible. Terrible aftertaste. Coke Zero tasted like Diet Coke without the aftertaste (still bad). Diet Coke with Splenda is good, it actually tastes pretty similar to regular Coke. Me likes.

Diet Coke with Splenda is the best of those. I still like Diet Dr. Pepper more though.

Did you just fvcking choose not to read the whole thread?

"The drink will be sweetened partly with a blend of aspartame and acesulfame potassium. Aspartame is a key ingredient in Diet Coke, but a spokesman for the Atlanta-based company said Coca-Cola Zero will have a unique taste."

I was wondering the same. I'm guessing different sweetener. Let me investigate.

From here

The only chemical difference between Coke Zero and Diet Coke is that Coke Zero has about half the aspartame but has more ace-k.

Ever heard of calories from fat? Also non-suger carbs i.e. alcohol somethingajiggy that some gums have.

I tried Coke Zero. Tasty! It needs a bit more bite from the bitter caffeine but to me, it definately tastes better than Diet Coke. Less "soapy."

3 12 oz Cokes a day = 450 extra calories a day. Some people drink 3 of those 20oz bottles a day, which gives you an extra 750 calories a day, or 1/3 of a normal persons recommended daily caloric intake.

I like Coke Zero- and so does the public from the looks of things. Read in the paper today their Coke's sales of Zero is going through the roof!
