2.0Ghz with 5x200HT - 2x1000Mhz bus and 400Mhz Dual channel ram

OR

2.2Ghz with 4x220HT - 2x880Mhz bus and 372Mhz Dual channel ram

2.4 isn?t stable neither is 2.3 because of how hot my Gigabyte GA-K8N51GMF-9 runs

The chipset in the middle is finger burning hot ?. Cant touch it for longer then 3 seconds before you get burnt. I put a fan over it but its still very hot.

The funny thing is the CPU runs at around 30c ?..and the heatsink is COLD to touch ive never had a CPU heat sink that was cold when idle. Although It does worm up when in 3Dgames.

So whets the best way?

You using integrated video? If so then I woudlnt try pushing the HTT too high. I'd guess that 2.2GHz is better because A64s are not even close to bandwidth starved, and they scale pretty nicely with clock speed.

I?m using a X800GTO and I?ve disabled the onboard video in bios with the latest bios update that had the option.

Didn?t make the middle chip run any cooler though.!

What about 2.4Ghz with 3x240HT - 2x720Mhz bus and 400Mhz Dual channel ram

It's also stable at this speed. :) so ive got 3 options !

How should i run this system?
