What really annoys you about people here?

Never thought of it like that red dawn, but you`ve gotta admit, it is annoying when you see loads and loads of reposts of the same thing, it just clutters the forums up with lots of the same stuff.
Anyway, WinkOsmosis, try us, list a few of your annoyences, thats what this thread is for after all.

I get a little be angry when it appears that some people just go into every thread to check to see if it is a repost. They tell you it's a repost, that is ok I guess.. but then 10 other people come in and post the same thing telling you it's a repost.. I think one person would be enough, if at all. Then again, anyone who finds themselves getting angry over posts made by faceless people on the internet should probably get some more sun and stop taking the internet so seriously.
 
People that start a retarded thread, and get mocked for it, and then get all pissy about it like it wasn't going to happen.
 
what truly annoys me is the obscene amount of hubris. when people attack others for no visible reason. when people forget the difference between opinion and fact. when people say things they wouldn't have the balls to say in real life - hell, when people say things any decent person would have the manners not to say in real life.
 
When I start getting mad at people on the internet, I get off of the internet.

Therefore, nothing here really annoys me all that much.

Trolling annoys me too. You know you shouldn't respond, but you do anyway and feel like an idiot for fueling the fire.

 
7) People who consider a frame rate of 30fps to be jerky. Remember people 25fps is all thats needed for the human eye to percieve something as smooth.

I take issue with this one... 30 fps can easily be considered jerky when playing an FPS deathmatch and you flick your wrist and the transitions are not smooth.. . persoanlly I despise runing lower than 60, it makes my game suffer.

Without getting to off topic, i can see where your coming from, but if 30fps can be maintained constantly, then its just as smooth as 60fps. Unfortunatelly 30fps can be always maintained, so 60fps is often the prefered as even when things get complex it`ll still stay above 30fps.
Now, back to the topic....
 
People who post new threads asking why their other thread got locked. Although that is a question that should be answered by the mod in the first post of the thread when it's not completely clear why the thread got locked (porn links, etc.)
 
People who generally assume that the person they are dealing with is an idiot rather than assuming the person is a relatively smart person who is a little confused.

Ive noticed that alot as well.
I try to treat everyone with the same amount of respect that i would have them treat me. Of course, if i get seriously pissed off with someone, then usually all hell breaks loose. lol.
 
What annoys me is the "wanna-be mods".

Some people like to pretend they have some power here, suggesting threads be locked, etc.

4) People who consider the X-Box to be the holy grail of home entertainment. Its a good console, with good games, but it aint that good. Just admit it, its a simplified PC.

5) The fact that some people dont respect other peoples opinions, and agrue constantly until the other person has the same opinion as them. An example was a thread a while back about Unreal2, where a couple of people there would not shut up complaining becuase a few other people actually liked the game.

6) People who think that HL is still the best game out. They have their own opinion on HL and i respect that, but arguing that every other game still doesnt compare to HL is just sad. Like above, respect other people opinions of things.



This is one huge contradictory statement. First you say, "Admit it, it's just a PC" then you say "Respect other's opinions!" then you say you can't stand people who think HL is the best, but then you go back to "respect others opinions!"

The XBOX and HL things are just opinions. Why is it so annoying?
