I was wondering what exactely pissed you off about people in the forums, if anything.
Its not a moan, or a chance for anyone to single people out, just a way to show everyone what annoys you, and with a bit of luck, some of it can be cut out.
Here are mine.
1) People who think that they are professionals in a certain area and profess to be able to tell the differences between things. For example with monitors some ppl think that they can tell the miniscule differences between image qualitys, or with soundcards, when people think that they can tell the difference between music on a audigy and music on a terratec. There are some people that can do this, but very very few can. And alot of them make it out that the small differences are huge and are vastly noticeable.
2) The constant praising of certain companies. Like 3DFX and Bit-boys. Both companies brought out great products but they arnt the gods of gfx, and shouldnt be treated as such.
3) People who decide to enter a thread and posts an insulting comment about a statement that they belive is wrong, which then turns into a flame match, even if the person that got it wrong in the first place admitted it was wrong.
4) People who consider the X-Box to be the holy grail of home entertainment. Its a good console, with good games, but it aint that good. Just admit it, its a simplified PC.
5) The fact that some people dont respect other peoples opinions, and agrue constantly until the other person has the same opinion as them. An example was a thread a while back about Unreal2, where a couple of people there would not shut up complaining becuase a few other people actually liked the game.
6) People who think that HL is still the best game out. They have their own opinion on HL and i respect that, but arguing that every other game still doesnt compare to HL is just sad. Like above, respect other people opinions of things.
7) People who consider a frame rate of 30fps to be jerky. Remember people 25fps is all thats needed for the human eye to percieve something as smooth.
Thats all that i can think of thus far.
