Hey I am new to this forum. I already have a Transcend DDR3 4GB 1333MHz RAM.

I want to upgrade. What RAM should I buy?

Considerations - Corsair or GSkill Ripjaws 8GB ( i.e. Total = 12GB)

Which is the best model?

Budget - 3000 INR

Also would I have to remove my Transcend Ram if I got a Gskill or Ripjaws?

I don't know how much 3000 INR is but if money is ever a concern, you should buy the cheapest brand name 1.5v ram you can get.

Check the recommended ram list from the manufacturer of your motherboard.
Ram recommendations can only be based on your specs. (mobo + proc)

G.Skill is okay, yeah they are good, but not great. No contest when it comes to both the Samsung and Mushkin Blackline 1.35v sticks. They are top drawer, simply killer! I have my 4x4 MV-3V4G3 @ either 2133 @ 10-11-10-28-1T, 1.42v or 1866 @ 9-9-9-24 1T, 1.335v depending upon my mood any given day.

There aren't many makers of desktop RAM these days, and a lot of companies just buy from the same suppliers and slap their own labels on top of it. That's what "heatspreaders" are for. Disguising what ICs are underneath--NOT for dissipating heat which is just a convenient cover story.

In no particular order, Samsung, Crucial/Micron, and Hynix are the major makers of desktop RAM.

G.Skill, Corsair, Kingston, Mushkin, etc. are just resellers, and you don't know what's really under the hood unless you somehow remove the heatspreaders, but that sometimes damages the chips underneath so don't do it!

dude i am from india even..u can buy the corsair vengeance...it wont dissapoint u..i have one..but sorry mate i don think the 1600mhz rams u mentioned will work properly with ur current one..u can give it a ty if u want... though it is recommended to pair rams with same density and speed...

I would buy Samsung sticks, simply because they're one of the very few brands always made from major brand RAM chips (Samsung) not run beyond their recommended specifications. The other such sticks are Crucial (Micron), provided they lack heatsinks.

Can you or anyone else recommend the best Samsung DDR3 1333 ram available on the market today.

For H61 and H67 mobos.

I like the Corsair Arctic white sticks (1600 MHz). They only need 1.35V but they cost the same as regular 1.5V RAM. I have four in my system below.
