same way Putin a humble public servant has accumulated a 70 billion net worth, through corruption and theft. He's nothing more than a gangster, I hope he gets what he deserves some day.

Kraft used to like to drink. It would not surprise me if it was a memory lapse/ misunderstanding that he has convinced himself about a different reality. Probably the next morning :)

Kraft should think twice about who he's publicly calling a thief.

Man I could definitely see Putin doing this. That's fine payback for Spygate. Sounds like Vladimir is an Eagles fan.

Apparently the Bush White House strongly encouraged Kraft to just suck this up to avoid an international incident. I can only imagine how awkward that phone call was . . .

Kinda surprising to me but when I think about it, not really. Putin is a new age czar so like I said, not that surprising.

Also, it's not the KGB anymore son, it's the FSB.

I'm starting to think that Putin is the modern Edwin Edwards to some of you. The attitudes people had about Edwards was always something like "Well, he lied, cheated, stole, gambled, whored, cheated some more, bribed, and who knows what else...but he was a good 'ol boy all the same". Somehow his exploits became something to marvel over and semi-respect even at the same time as grudgingly admitting they might be less than honorable. He was always spoken of in half-laughing tones rather than the rage he should have inspired, and after he finally went to jail for the shit he pulled there was a clear majority of people who supported pardoning him.

Any time Putin does something outrageous that tone comes through clearly here. You guys do realize that this means Putin is a liar and a thief right? The reaction people have to him is kind of strange to me.

Why would poontang lie. He is much wealthier than Kraft and could buy the patriots many times over. He even offered to gift Kraft with another ring

No shit he's a liar and a thief, but what the hell are we going to do about it? I don't live in Russia and their impact on the world stage is more bark than bite right now, so why get upset over it? It's Russia being Russia, we do have bigger things to worry about right now.

Kraft, who was honored at Carnegie Hall's Medal of Excellence gala at the Waldorf-Astoria on Thursday, told the crowd at the event that Putin took his Super Bowl XXXIX ring when the Patriots' owner visited St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2005, even though he released a statement at the time saying he gave the ring to Putin as a gift.

:hmm:

lol @ xenophobic American failures above.
