that doesn't sound like social anxiety...Originally posted by: fredtam
Social anxiety. Not in the normal way where people are self-conscious and scared. People just piss me off. It wasn't so bad when I was younger and just spoke my mind but my wife restricted that. I have now returned to my old ways. I frequently tell people to get the fvck out of my way, leave notes on the cars of idiot drivers, etc. I feel much better these days.
Idiots in society cause me a great deal of anxiety. What would you call it?
that's why I said probably nothing 🙂Originally posted by: bradruth

nope, it's still IV. there are only about 400 disorders at this point 😀Originally posted by: Skoorb
i don't think I'd have any diagnosable disorders based on the DSM IV. Or is it up to V now? Maybe I would in that 😉
I think that's more of a symptom than a disorder.Originally posted by: loki8481
is there a disorder for overwhelming apathy? heh.

I was referring to the stuttering. staying at home all the time and having no friends is likely a result of social phobia/avoidance more than it is a fear of going outside.Originally posted by: Amorphus

no, that would be a fear of going outside. all in the motives.

is an excessive fear of getting a flat tire, getting lost, not knowing where to park, etc. also considered agoraphobia if it keeps you from going out? or does it have to be a fear of panic attacks?Originally posted by: Tinkerhell

If it was a fear to go outside it would be agoraphobia. I had this briefly when I had bad panic attacks, I couldnt even go into public.

I am a disorder that has yet to be classified.
I have major depression, social phobia, and subclinical ocd 😉Originally posted by: Tinkerhell
Its usually associated with panic attacks but i dont think it has to only be with panic attack. I think if you have an intense fear of going out no matter what the situation is it is probably considered agoraphobia. Do you have any of these disorders, or think you have them?
