do ps2 controllers hook up and work?
what game(s) should i get?
where should i buy it?

ps2 controller will not work with ps3 out of the box.

As for the version....you only have two choices and the difference is the harddrive size.

I didn't know that "what you want" was a credible reason for breaking rules now. Just post in the right forum simple as that.
 
Grab the 250 GB version with a game if you still can. I have seen it come with Uncharted 2 or God of War 3 from Best Buy.

God of War Collection and 3
Uncharted 1 and 2
Little Big Planet
Metal Gear Solid 4
Assassin's Creed 1 and 2
Batman Arkham asylum
 
i say grab the 120 GB slim...unless youre gong to put all kinds of files on there like TONS of game data, PSN downloads and music. 120GB is huge...i have about 6 games with saved data, like 5 or 6 music albums, like 25 demo downloads and i still have tons of room on my 120GB...

Games? Depends on what you like to play

FPS- MW2, BC2, Borderland (an RPG shooter)
RPGs- Dragon Age, Demon Souls, Borderlands, FFXIII
Adventure- Afro Samurai is my faaavorite game, a must play. esp if u like Samuel L. Jackson lol
Fighting games- Super street fighter, Dragon Ball Z Raging Blast

as for where to get it? Depends on if u just want the system or if u want to buy a bundle..the best bundles are found on amazon..like for example

buy the god of war collection (if you didn't already play them on the PS2) and GOW 3
ratchet and clank games are worth playing as well

Not out of the box.

Uncharted 1/2, God of War Collection/3, Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid 4, Transformers: War for Cybertron

Honestly wait until Sunday and get one at Best Buy. They are having a 120GB bundle with an extra controller, plus Uncharted, Little Big Planet, and God of War Collection for $354.97. Best deal I've seen in awhile.

Starting the 18th Gamestop is having a decent sale, so you might not want to buy too many new games til then just in case. I know one of the games on sale is GoW3 which will be $30.
