Plan on ordering P180 for new build (opteron 175, 7800gtx, ASUS or DFI MB, etc) but with that ps spot being in the bottom im not sure what PS to get that will run everything solidly and not have issues reaching the MB and components etc and that works well in that bottom location. So anyone who has this already or has any thoughts on PS to fit and work well in this case and run Highend system let me know.

Want to order this week

thx

Cooler Master Real Power series has no problem reaching top of the P180 w/o having to thread cables under cards and such. Really nice long cables.

The Seasonic S12 series should be good for you. Really quiet and also efficient. Heres the cable lengths from SPCR.com:

18" cable for main 24-pin ATX connector. Adapter to 20-pin adds 3~4 inches.
18" auxiliary 12V connector
19" auxiliary 4x12V connector (for dual CPU boards)
33 " cable with three 4-pin IDE drive connectors and one floppy drive power connector
27" cable with two 4-pin IDE drive connectors and one floppy drive power connector
25" cable with two SATA drive connectors
21" cable with 3-pin PSU fan speed monitor connector for motherboard

sorry i forgot to mention, the cable lengths are for the 430w model. not sure, but maybe the 600 is even longer, youll have to do some research on it...I dont own a P180 but ive seen it, and im pretty the seasonic 430's cables will be long enough, no guarantee though

I have a P180 and should have a Seasonic S12-500 at my house when I get home so I can let you know for sure in a couple hours.

I have a SeaSonic S-12 600 and had no problems with the cable lengths. However: I don't have an SLI setup (can't. . . .955x) but I would have problems if I did though. The mobo cable runs where a second card would go and there doesn't seem to be much slack.

Stuff just arrived. I have plenty of cable length to reach the PS connector on the A8N32. It is long enough to stretch all the way up and barely touch the top fan if straightened completely out. PSU is a Seasonic S12-500.

Most Zippys have nice long wires. And the Sparkle FSP550-60PLG does too.

I did notice that the 12 volt cable is not long enough to allow me to route it around the way I would like. On my motherboard the connector for it is at the top of the board close to the back faceplate where the KB etc connect. It is long enough to connect up so I can live with it routed over the video card. Routing it under would block the other PCI slots. I am using the review at SilentPC as a guide to doing some of this. Link here with lots of pictures.

So any other thoughts on ps for this case? Thinking maybe to go with 500 w one since 600 might be a little to much, any issues with that one in that case? any other PS give solid power and work in this case?

500W is plenty, i don't know of many people who go for anything other than a s12 or a phantom for that case, although the antec high efficency would be a good design to use in it for the straightline airflow.
