What protein/isolate do you take?

I'm on Prolab 100% whey isolate..... 110 cal/serving, 24g protein/serving, 32 servings/2lb container, $28/2lb

It's crazy expensive for what it is, but it's also supposed to be the best stuff out there and I don't like the idea of cutting corners when it comes to stuff I ingest...

Salmon, Chicken, Tuna, and Turkey mainly.

Optimum Nutrition has 26g per serving, $22/5lb tub. Their chocolate tastes pretty damn good too. It's bodybuilding.com's best selling protein.

Holy mother of god.
NewSc2, I think you've just saved me a god awful lot of money. Their pricing is still about $29 + s&h but I'd more than halve my protein expenses as is...
Thanks!!!

Pro-Rated is crap. It tastes ok but Optimum has better ingredients. oh and btw, you can get optimum for $15/5lb tub, if you're willing to buy 3 or 4 tubs. PM me if you wanna know how

i take GNC whey isoburst, but i'm thinking aobut picking up some isopure. it has very low cholesterol compared to the GNC variant (but much more expensive.)

I've never heard of Pro-Rated being crap anywhere. Where'd you get that?

Rob

Optimum Nutrition vanilla & chocolate whey. I love how you can mix it easily in just a little water and it's still tasty. It is hard enough to stay on a good training and eating schedule without forcing yourself to choke down chalky crap supplements.

Well, I bought 10 pounds of prorated to try it out. first of all the texture feels like cheap protein. my results just don't seem as good as when i use optimum and other proteins

Ok, so it's personal taste then. 😀

I used Optimum for a while, but when I found ProRated for $19/6lb at Costco I decided to give it a try. Not only is it cheaper, but I prefer the taste. It mixes well for me (I don't mix with water as I've never liked the taste of any protein powders in water), and tastes great. 😀

Hmm. You're the first complaint I've heard yet. Reading up @ anabolicreview and a ton of other places, everyone has gotten great results out of it. I guess each person's body could be different, though. I've gotten good results but I'm not a bulker, so I guess it's not as big of a deal for me. 😀

I use Mega Whey from GNC. It's a bit pricey, but I've been getting such good gains from it that I don't want to switch.
