What program/method should I use?

My new PC should be ready on tuesday, so I was wondering, how do you guys determine if a PC is running well. For example, how can I tell if my memory is in dual channel mode, the temperature my CPU is at, the speed of my RAM, video card clock etc... Is there a special software that shows this information, or is it in the bios or something? Please post information. I know this is a noob question, but this is my first time actually customizing my PC.

Alot of that information is in the BIOS.
Use ATI Tool or Rivatuner for VGA specs depending ony our video card.

I got nvidia 6600GT 128MB so i guess those programs wouldnt work.
