I joined because I felt religious based organziations always seem to put their two cents into political agendas. I felt it was therefore my duty to make sure that Atheists had that right as well.
 
I joined the ranks of amateur radio operators so I could talk to people from around the world... sorta like the internet long before there was an internet😀 ARRL
 
When I used to work as agrocery bagger at the supermarket I was a member of the United Food and Commericial Workers Union. hehehehe anyone top the lameness of that?
