What power supply do I need for this build?

And I am looking for a good but cheap power supply (around £50 since I am limited on budget). With my build I will be overclocking a bit and I want it to run smooth and fast. The graphic card may not be an r9 290x however it will certainly be anything better than a GTX 770.

So any suggestion?

Decent choices, except the Vengeance Pro is a poor pick: the bulky heatsinks will interfere with the fan on 212 Evo if installed in the slot closest to the CPU. It's also a bit expensive for 1600MHz; the standard Vengeance is £10 less. Personally I'd stay away from the 290(X)'s until custom designs are out. I'd get MSI GTX 780 Gaming.

Your motherboard supports SLI and Crossfire i.e. dual graphics card configs. Do you want the PSU to support 290X Crossfire as well, or did you pick that board for other reasons (audio quality, 6-phase power as opposed to 4-phase, or something else)? If the answer is no: XFX 650W £67. It still has 4x PCIe connectors so it will support dual GPU configs up to mid-high range (<200W per GPU), but not 290X Crossfire, and not 280X Crossfire properly either.

In my experience, you'll get toasted for P&P with scan.co.uk. Try CCL and/or Amazon?

CCL's and Scan's returns policies in practice result in pretty similar experiences, no complaints here.

Thanks for the reply but I have everything on that list other than the CPU Cooler, PSU & Graphic cards. Also I bought the memory since I got it for £54 from ebay new and it has OC abilities. (Do I need a new one now? :/ ). Also when do you think is the right time to buy a good graphic card because I want to be able to play modern games on ultra such as BF4.

No you don't need new RAM. Just buy this instead of 212 EVO, it bypasses the RAM compatibility issue with a design that offsets the bulk away from the CPU contact base: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermalrigh...1386188612&sr=8-1&keywords=thermalright+macho

The 280X would be fine for High @ 60fps. I would just get that and upgrade it in <1 year. The image quality difference between Ultra and High is typically much, much smaller than the impact on performance would suggest - it shouldn't affect your enjoyment of the game one bit.

I did suggest one in my first post.

Overclocking the memory probably wont have noticeable impact; there are some documented cases where it actually improves framerates enough to show in benches, but nothing major enough to warrant the time spent, in my opinion. If you want to play around with it though, why not . I'm using 1333MHz RAM myself, don't really care how fast it is because it's not a bottle neck, the graphics card is.

If you want room for expansion, you will need an 800W PSU minimum, if you want to run your rig as is, with some overclocking you are probably gonna be fine with a reputable 80+ certified 600W PSU. 290x can use up to 300W by itself, and the CPU can easily get over 100W with an OC. That leaves you with 100W for the fans and everything else.
