Prior to Ukraine, I would've thought that at the least, they would keep their nukes maintained. But now . . . .

Just as an example, for the tritium core nukes, I think that needs to be replaced as radioactive decay progresses. And those are the ones you measure in megatons not kilo.Gen1 nukes didn't have much power.

But even fissile material decays but I guess the half lives are much longer.

I hope the world won't ever have to find out the answer to that question.

Yeah.... what he said!!!

I went with option #2 in the poll because my guess would be slightly LESS than 50%. (which would be QUITE sufficient to fvck $hit up thank you!)

A dud (critical mass not achieved) is still going to spread a lot of radioactive bad shit, (think dirty bomb) if the high explosive trigger does detonate.

That is assuming there is any radioactive material left in them. Could have all been sold on the black market and the missiles are being used at strategic vodka reserves

This sounds a lot like wishful denial of what MAY be a reality we really do not know how to prevent. Actually, ANY effectiveness is a HUGE and long-lasting danger! Reminds me of reactions to global climate change.
