What percentage of able bodied men are fighting the US in Iraq?

It seems ridiculous to say less than one percent. Considering that there are about 30 millions people there and that possibly hundreds of thousands of military aged males have been killed in wars in the past 20 years. Also all the children that have been killed during the period of economic sanctions.

So I guess the question I'm leading up to here is, what percentage of the male population is able to fight the US military, and what percentage of the male population actually is fighting us?

You're about 5-6million over the current population of Iraq.

Also,

http://www.library.uu.nl/wesp/populstat/Asia/iraqg.htm (1997 data)
15-59 years: 49%
(But that doesn't breakdown between male/female)

From http://www.atlapedia.com/online/countries/iraq.htm, male/female ratio is roughly 1:1 (1991 data)

So, about 6 million males between 15-59 years of age.

How many are fighting? Not that many actually taking up arms, I would think.
