What color is it? How did you "discover" it?

My favorite pen is the blue Uniball Gel Impact. 1.0mm thickness (bold) and really smooth. It makes my not so nice handwriting look so much better and my signature looks cool when I sign it on thermal paper.

Someone gave me theirs because it was defective (kept leaking). It stopped after I used it for a while and then I fell in love with it.

I seem to lose one every once in a while. ~$2, not so hard to replace.

Pilot pens mostly -- especially for my class notes. I use the blue color most; contrasts nicely with yellow highlighters.

I like the way the GelSticks (Bic?) write, but they don't absorb into the paper and dry quickly enough, so they smear pretty badly. And if you're highlighting as you go, you're screwed cuz the wet ink will ruin your highlighter. But the Gels do have a nice feel to them, especially for a rollerball -- feels like a Pilot felt-tip or even a good fountain. And u can use rollerballs effectively on carbon-copy paper -- something that messes pilot pens up cuz you have to press too hard.

geez, I'm a geek -- and a low-end one too. (maybe shoulda lied and claimed to prefer certain models of Mont Blanc and specific ink viscosity).

<<A good fountain pen, they write so much better than anything else.>>

If I could justify spending money on one of these, it's what I would use but here in college I'm far too likely to lose it. I usually use a Parker bal-point fo taking notes, I prefer my Uni-ball Micro (the "Ultra Fine Point), but $0.39 spiral notebooks don't have great paper in them and they tend to bleed.

I prefer Zebra F-301, 0.7mm, black ink. They write very smoothly, especially considering they're ballpoints. After that I like Uniball Vision, Black ink, micro point. I had a fountain pen for a while, and that wrote so incredibly well, I loved it.

I've been told that I have a pen fetish just cause I am very particular about what I write with. :p

I work at Ingram Micro, vendors like to give out pens...I have 100's of them. If I quit today I will never ever run out of pens.

Anybody want any pens?

I use a Stipula Noveccento in a fine tip. I got a sweet deal on it, I got it for $259 when it should have been $379. It is also leaps and bounds above the Mont Blanc I had before. Using this made the Mont Blanc I had feel cheap and poorly built. A nice fountain pen will really make you want to write by hand more. I am only a Freshman in college too so dont think I am some snooty old executive either. The only thing though is dont bother using a fountain pen unless you write with cursive because if find printing no where as easy using a fountain pen as curisive is.
