there's so many out there (Toshiba, Dell, Sony, Palm, Ipaq) that its hard to tell what's "good" or not. how can you tell what to get?

look on eBay for a refurbed Toshiba if you don't mind having Pocket PC 2002 instead of Windows Mobile 2003. I got a Toshiba e740 for about $200 shipped and I like it. If you don't need Wi-Fi, take a look at the e330.
