Dell 2001FP. Picked it up in 2003 or so for $700 and have been using it since. Also a Microsoft Natural keyboard Elite (ps/2) that I got for $20 in 2003 or so. I'm itching for more desktop space, but I think I'll ride the 2001FP out until the backlight dies. I've thought about replacing its backlight on my own when that happens, so I might have this thing for several more years.

Probably my Klipsch Promedia 4.1s i've had for 8-9 years. Or maybe my Soyo Topaz 24" screen. I would say the x-25m but I have a feeling in a couple of years, its value wont hold as well 🙂

The parts I would buy again if my computer caught fire - my Dell 27" monitor, my Logitech MX 5500 KB/mouse and my Logitech Z-5500 speakers. Worth every penny.

Not so much an individual part as it is the form factor of the computer, but if I had to pick just one, I'd say the Combo Riser card..

My elite Monster USB cables. Well worth the $$$. Those guys at Bestbuy know what they're talking about when it comes to quality cables.

Dell Ultrasharp 3007WFP.

It's the most expensive thing i've ever purchased for my PCs, & has been by far the most worth it overall.

Logitech Z-5300e.
Razer mouse.
HP widescreen 23".

In fact, the only things I've ever been unhappy with are Nvidia 3D accelerators. They cause more problems than they fix. ATI has overall been better for me with compatibility, reliability and ease of use.
(For reference, I am a power user. Not a programmer, nor a casual user.)

Also, my Audigy 1 Platinum EX was nice even though drivers were a HUGE hassle. When I moved to my cheap ass Turtle Beach I was a little sad. For about 5 minutes. Then I didnt care.

I have a set of Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers that I've been using since 1998 that are still chugging along. Other than that, I'd say the Dell 3007wfp, and until recently a $5 keyboard that I'd also been using since 1998 (spilled beer on it last month).

Logitech G5 mouse
Samsung 2433bw monitor
Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers.

I will use these parts until they die. My $8 logitech keyboard should make this list as well. It's cheap, it's simple, but perfectly functional. The keys feel just as good as they did when they were new three years ago, and the 8 shortcut buttons are very handy.

Parts that I regret most:
Rosewill mid-tower case. It was cheap so I bought it. The build quality is pathetic and airflow isn't great.
ATI 4870 512mb. It's a fast card that I got a great deal on about a year ago, and it hasn't given me any trouble. ...it is LOUD though.

Dell 2407 and brand new P183 (which I scraped the hell out of inside). Won't replace the monitor until it dies, and that's after I bitch to Dell and get a discount on a 27XX. P183 is for a long time unless it starts rusting.

Oh ya, and an X-fi Xtrememusic. Still using it 3 years later, carried it over to my new system when I upgraded. Got onboard if it dies, but until then.

Most of it, really. My 20" Samsung LCD has been great for years, even kept it over a 23" 1080P (PQ just isn't there). The oldest component is probably my MX1000, which I do need to replace eventually (middle button stopped working), but I like it..

Hauppauge Primo FM TV Card - I've used the card for over 10 years. Its now in my mum's PC and I've bought a new one for myself. The best £50 I've ever spent on a computer.

Memory goes up in value.

that's because it's currently recovering from a recent bubble burst. ie. inflation followed by lowered prices followed by price recovery due to demand. memory is still cheaper today than back in the ddr days (obviously per gb but also in terms of what is considered a standard amount of mem)

Hmm, my RAM was a good deal, like $35 for 4GB.... My GTX 260.... My 9550 for $170.... My case is actually a nice deal too.

My 80gig WD external I got a while back. I don't run it much, but it's where I keep all my music so it's fairly important. Rock solid since day 1.
