I had something happen at the base of my skull last October. I was doing some uh, rigorous physical activity when I felt like I got hit in the back of the head with a hammer. My vision flashed and I saw stars and everything then instantly I had the worst headache I have ever experienced. That was followed by two months of constant neck/base of skull pain and headaches. After that it eased up to the current 3-5 days a week of pain and headaches. Been to several doctors and had x-rays and CT scans, all clear with the exception of some early arthritis in my neck. Haven't had an MRI yet due to cost but will probably do that with my FSA monies if I don't need them before that.

To be fair that is kind of your fault for buying her the strap-on.

eating out a chick or trying to give yourself a blowjob? which is it?

Pain is just weakness leaving the body!

I have 2 FUBAR’d knees...a FUBAR’d lumbar spine, FUBAR’d cervical spine, torn rotator cuff, (not bad enough to justify surgery...yet) lisfranc foot injury that refuses to heal...the list goes on and on and on...
That's what happen when you're 142 old man.

Lower lumbar pain, it is excoriating. Making lots of Jacuzzi usage and the back massager function it uses, reduced my pain levels by 60% I am now able to do the exercises I was told to do by my backdoctor. It is now managable and it looks to be improving now so maybe in a week it will be all gone,

And I thought that the Donkey Punch was an urban myth!

Heart pain.
I miss my girl and she misses me. But we both have obligations and responsibilities that we cannot ignore or neglect.
Hopefully we meet tonight again and otherwise we have to wait until the weekend.

Don't worry, I have been taking good care of her in your absence and she shall return nice and happy into your loving arms.

Nothing like a good PT and listening to them. Stretches, core work and not picking up heavy crap, FTW.

That's just mean. I hope you feel bad in the morning.

ATM, my right wrist is gimpy. Don't know if I'm going to make my obligatory workout (3x/week right now). Thinking of skipping it. I'm always hurting somewhere but right now, that's the only one that's really pesky.

There always seems to be something. So often I wonder if I'll ever get over it. I guess most of the time I do get over it. Funny thing is, when pain disappears you (I, at least) can just forget about it. I had pain in my right elbow for over a year I think and now it's gone, at least the chronic pain I had there. My left hand was my bad one for years, just years and lately, just the last couple months the left one is pretty OK and the right one has what seems to be super issues and I wonder if it will ever be OK again. I have to think there's a good chance it will. They say "listen to your body," and I have to think that getting over pesky pain issues has a lot to do with that.

So, I saw my primary care physician for the first in person visit since 2015, this was around 7 weeks ago. I am 75 and have a handful of pesky orthopedic type issues. Wrists, hands, shoulders, a hamstring that's still recovering from an injury from almost 2 years ago. I ask him if I can have an appointment with a physical therapist to get some pointers, exercises, stretches, whatever to help me in dealing with the pain, hopefully improve, alleviate the problems. He counters that physical therapists are for recovering from incidents/accidents/surgeries or whatever, not for dealing with the issues I have. IS THIS TRUE??? Or should I press him and insist? I have the name of a PT in mind there at my HMO that I know is super qualified, I saw him before.

My .02...you are recovering. My back, for example, the L5 is not formed right. The exercises/stretching/core strengthening that they taught me keeps me out of pain and protects the back. Train the core muscle to fire appropriately. Left knee, weak glutes/ tight IT band. Shoulder, small muscle training to help protect/stabilize the joint.

Had a pulled hamstring that would not heal. They did not help with that but I still do those stretches. The answer for it was to break up the adhesions that had formed when I 1st injured it. That required a pretty young massage therapist driving her elbow into the tissue.....ouch....but it worked.

I have a messed up finger, and some tendinitis from pitching in my hands. But the worst for me is a callus that is growing on the side of my foot. It itches like crazy and wakes me up almost nightly.

Injured my hamstring in a fall almost two years ago, it was pretty serious. Still not over it, I'm working on it in the gym, it's improving very slowly, still not nearly as strong as the other hamstring.

I'm going for my first professional massage one week from today. My PCP highly recommends my getting a full body massage every month. Don't know what to expect, maybe I'll be asked where my problem areas are. I will ask for a woman, yeah a young strong one hopefully!

The deep tissue work hurts but I think it's helpful. The 3 primary areas for me were the ham string, the IT band and a trigger point between my shoulder blades. Tears in my eyes for all 3 and I paid $100/hr for the pleasure.

Skip the mamby pamby body rub crap unless...you know...😉
