What overclocks better? 90w or 65w?

On average, which verison of the x2 3800+ overclocks better. The 90w or 65w?

There is no rule of thumb.

People assume the 65W will overclock better since it's design to run at a lower voltage than the 90W at the same clock so it must be a better yield to do this.

The CPU architecture ultimately determines how far an AMD K8 will scale.

Anyway didn't people find the 90w X2 3800's OC better?!

I never followed the results. But what i do know is AMD used different transistors (low leakage transistors) which results in minimal overclocks over stock.

i have my 89w at 2.72 if that helps you any... and that is at 1.35V so there is plenty of room to keep going

I've read about people getting the EE's up to around 3ghz, same as the regular X2's. The bottom line is from what I've seen 3ghz (air cooling) or so is pretty much what any 90nm K8 can do before a hard wall is hit.
