What other phones compete with the iPHONE?

My razor phone is getting old, and my contract is up with verizon. Any phones on the market compete with the iphone? Looking for a smartphone and it looks like the selection is a bit old and stale from verizon.

Yes the voyager is supposed to be a direct iPhone competitor. Also LG makes the KE850 which is the Prada phone which is all touchscreen like the iPhone.

And it also depends what your definition of compete is. If you're looking for a phone that can play music and video effortlessly that's a whole different story.

One more thing. Nokia's N91? I think is being advertised as an iPhone killer as it does everything the iPhone does except with a 5MP camera and GPS. And also for about the same price AND it comes unlocked!

i just tinkered with the voyager yesterday... its definately not as cool as they make it sound. No as easily intuitive as the iphone and the touch screen feels mushy, like theres a gel layer between the clear plastic and the screen... its kind a hard to describe. My hopes for a verizon iphone competitor have been crushed

There's a difference between niche phones and standard consumer phones w/ partial niche capabilities

That's what it is the N95. Yes if you are looking for a phone that can compare with the iPhone you aren't going to find one besides the iPhone. Also if you really want something on par with the iPhone you are going to have to pay a premium for a phoen that can actually do everything it promises and well, like the n95. And pretty much the only way you are going to be able to find a phone like this is with a GSM set sad to say.
