The geep thread got me wondering that we probably haven't even come close to the number of cool combos possible.

Honey badger + gerbil
Turtle + frog
African grey parrot + bald eagle

The 2 animals need to have the same number of chromosomes to be capable of breeding, right? Any other requirements?

Weirdly, plants dont need the same number of chromosomes to breed.

A Honey badger + hybrid would make a decent B movie maybe.

Probably not on reflection though, things like that have been overdone.

shark + tornado

Yeah that immediately came to mind.

I don't think that's one of the requirements.

The Geep (Goat/Sheep) has two parents with different numbers of chromosomes. (54 and 60, iirc, but whatever.)

Correct. The only way to know what is possible is to look at what's already been tried. There are also millions of combinations that haven't been tried.

puppy + scorpion

I would name him Fluffy.

And when people came up to pet and say how cute Fluffy was, he would kill them with his tail.
