What OS do u use?

I tried doing this in OT, but got locked after 5 posts (still don't know why). Hopefully the change of forum was all that was needed.

Why are there 6 windows options and only 1 each for linux and bsd? You'll find just as many serious arguments between the various distros as *nix vs. windows here.

I'm lazy, and am not going to list all 200 some distros of linux.

Linux is Linux. 1 option is fine. BSD on the other hand... There's OpenBSD, NetBSD, FreeBSD, and DragonflyBSD. And they're all different, and should probably have seperate options. Mac OS X could probably be thrown in there, or at least somewhere in the poll (how could you forget Mac OS X?).

Also, you should have options for people that use multiple OSes. I use: Solaris, OpenBSD, Mac OS X, Linux, Windows XP, and Windows 2000. What option do I choose?

Done. If u use different OSs on differnt comps, choose the one u use the most.

I have never used MAC in my life, and have no desire to use it, and thus have little knowledge of it. I suppose I should put DOS and UNIX in as well since this is the OS forum. :disgust:

K, yes, self pwnage. I DO know about MAC addresses and such. I figured that ATers would be able to take the appropriate meaning from context, and I was too lazy to edit. Apparently I was wrong, so I will now edit to avoid any further confusion.

Yes, I know. I had to set up an ad-hoc WLAN between several comps at my house.

Have one Debian server at home(two if you count a broken one that I've been meaning to fix...)
One Solaris box at home.
Two OpenBSD boxes.
Three Windows boxes.
And I've been meaning to have a look at NetBSD, though I guess that doesn't count since it's not up yet...maybe for my vacation
