why do you need eat something special just because it's valentine's day?

it's just another day.
For some of us, a nice dinner, etc., leads to a lot more activities taking place later in the bedroom. But, if for you, it's just another day, bummer. 😛

Even without bedroom activities it's nice to put some effort into a reminder of affection for a SO. Not that it only happens on V day, but no point in letting an opportunity get away.

So many good suggestions. I think we'll get the lobster from the aforementioned market and make everything else.

Enough for what? It really depends on how high maint your wife is. We would normally just order a pizza or some other kind of take out and call it a night. I say normally because this year the Preds have a game on Valentine's Day so we'll be going to that and probably eating a burger or something.

I've seen the Blues on Valentine's Day a few years back and we stayed in a nearby hotel so we didn't have to drive.

To the OP you know her better than we do. Just go with your gut.

I never EVER go to a restaurant on Valentines day, Mothers day or Fathers day.

no thanks. I would rather eat Chinese noodle soup
