What number do you start counting from?

I knotice all my math/ee/cs professors all start counting a zero on test problems and assignments...does anyone actually do this? lol

heh, the answer to the............zero-st question is
I start counting from one thank you very much, and this thread is lacking in teh poll sector

for classes where I've had a problem 0, it's always been either your name or some other obvious question

One time, I was making up a quiz for a CS class. I started numbering at -1.

the numbers in base 10 are 0-9. zero is the first number, though I typically start counting from 1.

Of course you do, because any increase in quantity from nothing is something, and it cannot, by definition, be zero.

To add to this,

during our tests and stuff it is very common for "Time remaining" on the board to be written in binary or hex :| its pretty frustrating when ur pressed on time and you look up at the board lol.

You get used to it. I can almost instantly read binary so long as it's eight bits or less.

You could also buy this to help 🙂
