Is it normal for a car to take that kind of hit without the glass shattering?
In modern vehicles, the glass is an integral portion of the vehicles structure. It is quite strong.

Is that a Prowler behind the chick?
I like this one better.
The first time I went under that bridge, I thought I'd gone over the edge of the world. I haven't ridden on the new track, but Road Atlanta rocked back then. Morning practice was always fun - it takes a while for the track to warm up around that bridge (since it's in the shade), and somebody (not me, of course - I would never do something that dumbThe hill coming down from the bridge is very steep. The picture doesn't really give an accurate idea of how steep it really is. It's quite a ride down the hill

Stuff happens. Just because you know how to drive doesn't mean you're perfect.
Hehe.....yeah the old Road A was, er, interesting. Between bouncing your chest off the tank through the Gravity Cavity and then barrelling over that blind rise at full-tilt-boogie it was never a dull moment. New layout is safer and makes for good racing anyway since people end up going in the chicane 4-wide at times.Originally posted by: sward666

Getting that red Georgia clay out of your leathers is impossible.
EDIT: Movie Trivia - If you've ever seen Freejack, that bridge is the one that Emilio Estevez lofted his car into.

Isn't that, "because you can afford an expensive car, doesn't mean you know how to drive it!"
Having money does not make one a good driver.

Betcha insurance wouldn't cover it either, considering it happened on a racetrack.
Sucks to be him.
Then again if you can afford to toss around a $200K car you probably don't mind TOO much if you hose it.
