It wasn't the 'official' hallway. But 4 dorms were all connected by a bathroom. IE: the bathroom had a door on both sides and 2 dorms each would use 1 door. So instead of walking out into the hallway to get to your neighbors dorm room, sometimes you would just cross through the bathroom. Hope that makes sense
