A little sarcasm here.

But I wanted to bring up the huge onslaught of women presidential candidates announcing.
So far only democrats, but I'd expect one or two women from the republican side could jump in.
I wouldn't be surprised.
Still, is America, will America be ready to elect a woman president? It's very first?
I really thought Hillary had it in the bag, but I guess too many people thought she was the bag. The old bag. Forgive me Hill :disappointed:
So now we have a good start with women challenging and defying Donald Trump for 2020, but is it the right time?
I worry about the "experience".
Hillary had experience, plenty of it, and that did her little good.
While Donald had no experience what so ever, and look where it got him.

So any woman up against Donald Trump, experienced or not, should have no problem with experience considering it is Donald Trump that they challenge.
One would think that the case.
But no doubt the experience will be the number one issue tossed at these women. More so than at the men, which has always been the case.
Apparently the general belief about the man is that he is entitled, has the necessary experience built-in. All the experience he should need.
Yet with the women, they must earn that badge of experience, as well as prove it exists.
And that only proves how crazy this next election will absolutely be.
Where someone as inexperienced as Donald Trump, even after a full first term, is still wet behind the ears. Or is it behind the orange hairpiece?
While the women challengers will be called on experience at every turn. And especially challenged by the most inexperienced as Donald Trump.
With Trump questioning enforced by more of the inexperienced such as Fox News, Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and last and yes least Ann Coulter.

So here we go folks.
The era of the woman presidential candidate.
A woman president in 2020.
Should be the picture perfect conclusion after four years of the insanity from Donald Trump. Should be a slam dunk for any women.
But will it?
Only in these times of complete craziness could and would someone so inexperienced as a Donald Trump, along with his clan of inexperienced surrounding him, dare get away with suggesting any woman challenger as not experienced enough.
That somehow the man Donald Trump is entitled to his experience, yet having none at all, and the woman she must prove her experience and worthiness.
And therein lies the problem.
EVERYONE IS INSANE!

I like her. But I like some others too.

She has a shot though. Certainly not gonna write her off like say Mike Bloomberg or others.

I feel like Beto has a good vibe going, but Harris is definitely a good challenger. She certainly has plenty of experience. I don't who is "better", but either way, the Dems will be going into 2020 a lot of exciting candidates I think.

I'd be thrilled to see any reasonable moderate in the White house. Don't care if it's male, female, or unspecified other. Don't care if it's republican or democrat. I just want an actual leader that's not an idiot, a sellout, a massive ego, or an extremest.
It's foolish pipe dream.

Obama was a pipe dream compared to now!

But YES WE CAN!!! - never forget that!

When I saw her grill people from the judiciary comity. She became my leading choice.
Same here. I don't know a lot about her but what I've seen I like.

I am starting to get worried the democratic field is going to start looking like the republicans in 2016. Although I think democratics had too few in 2016 (and 2000), I was all for Hillary but I think the two person race helped out a lot of the "Bernie Bro" crap gain steam and I think she would've gotten in the bag much sooner if there would've been a really third choice.

I felt that Sherrod Brown has a winning kind of message from what I have heard so far and am interested to see how he does.

Who did you vote for again in 2016?

The 2020 primaries for the Democrats is going to be great. The best part will be watching the fallout after a candidate is selected. So many special interest groups will not like that their candidate did not get selected. It's going to be the 2016 "Bernie Bros" x 10.

Democrats should take a cue from Republicans and just sell out to everyone.

Why is it a pipe dream? Obama was a reasonable moderate and he was president until two years ago.

But the right wing media claimed he was a far leftist.

I'm personally a moderate and my biggest issue with Obama was he was too right on many issues. I can't really think of anything that he was too far left on, IMHO.

Oh I'd be very surprised. The Republican National Committee will be bending over backwards to ensure there are no primary challengers for Trump/Pence. Any Republicans bold enough to mount a primary challenge will need to be sufficiently wealthy to run self-funded campaigns or have a large donor network of their own. Not too many women billionaires I can think of willing to stand up to Trump.

Nothing constructive to add so you jumped in with a double handful of stupid, and partially blew that by not mentioning Russians.
If you don't remember the BS ranting by the repubs about his heritage during his terms, I can't help you. You must live in a bomb shelter with no media access.

That's what I find so interesting about Obama and how it will be interesting to see how right wing media reacts to the current Democratic field which contains a bunch of (by American standards at least), genuinely liberal people. They spent eight years demonizing a reasoned, restrained moderate as a crazed, radical leftist bent on extinguishing freedom. They already turned the rhetoric up to 11 for that, what do they have left for a real liberal?

Okay in some ways that's scary too.

It won't be boring, that's true. The two main questions are who among them will beat the Republicans and who the Republican candidate will be? I suppose if Pelosi is President they may back her as she has a better favorable/unfavorable spread than Trump. Yes, Nancy is looking better even though not at all good.

Don't worry, while it is possible that Nancy could run it's not likely. Her real power is in the House as Trump just might possibly understand.

It's also kind of amazing that people look at Elizabeth Warren and the fake 'scandal' around the whole Native American heritage thing and decide she's unelectable. Did you guys take a look at who is in the White House currently?

Anyone the Democrats nominate... **ANYONE** will end up with some bullshit manufactured scandal around them. It doesn't matter who.

Don't you know standards for the Negro were different for Republicans. Remember when wearing a tan suit in the Oval Office was a major scandal? Trump? Anything goes.
